Theatre in Education:
Theatre in Education (TIE) can be a purposeful and enjoyable
part of every child’s school life – allowing children the chance to
explore ideas, think about opinions and make choices – all in a
relaxed, fun and exciting atmosphere.
Here at Altru, we aim to develop at least two new pieces of work
each year, and to continue the great work of our existing projects,
inspiring new audiences across the North West and the UK.
In 2006/2007 we will be:
Touring B is for Bully – our fantastic performance workshop in
November. Designed for key stage 2 pupils, B is for Bully is a
great way to open the avenues of discussion about bullying
through it’s use of comedy and recognisable scenarios.
Bringing Hungry for Health to Manchester! After a sell out tour of
Liverpool the highly successful show will move to Manchester
in September and October. We are very proud of the interactive
theatre piece which was developed alongside the PCT and
5–a–day initiative.
October will see the debut of Before Marching and After – a 50
minute performance using the poetry of the first world war to tell
the story of a couple separated by the Great War and bring alive
this incredible time in history.
